MineCore Construction Division

MineCore's Construction Division supports the MineCore Exploration Division for the exploration and development of precious gems and metals. This division consists of heavy equipment and its mission is to directly support the exploration and mining efforts in Madagascar with equipment, and with experience in obtaining government road and infrastructure construction contracts. The bulk of all the overburden stripping work for MineCore's mining concessions will be performed through McKenzie Plant Hire (MPH). MPH has more than 100 pieces of heavy equipment and a number of long-term contracts which would include MineCore's MOU's for road and bridge building in Madagascar.

History

McKenzie Plant Hire celebrated its 52nd anniversary in January, 2004. In 1951, the late John Nourse McKenzie purchased a second-hand international bulldozer for the purpose of leveling farm roads in the Richmond area of Southern Africa.
Soon, he discovered that a niche market existed in the field of plant hire and established McKenzie Plant Hire. The company operated initially from the garage of his Richmond KwaZullu-Natal home. Today, still based in Richmond, the company is a major player in the plant hire industry in South Africa. It operates from a fully equipped workshop with a fleet of over 100 heavy equipment pieces for mining and road construction.

Following the death of John McKenzie in 1995, his three sons took over the business. Lence Hosking, Financial Manager and a Director of McKenzie Plant Hire, joined the brothers. Subsequently, Stuart McKenzie bought out his brothers.

McKenzie Plant Hire operates throughout South and Southern Africa. In addition to the hire plant and machinery, the company works in association with various construction companies, and has completed a large range of bulk earthworks and civil projects. Its customers include public listed companies, the mining, agricultural and forestry sector, government departments and smaller construction companies. The company has a team of, experienced operators, some of whom have been with the company for over 25 years.

The success of McKenzie Plant Hire was ensured over the years by the quality and reliability of the company's equipment, its competitive rates, its commitment to service, and its dedicated and loyal team of employees.

MPH currently operates in South Africa under the direction of two of the original owners, Stuart McKenzie and Lance Hosking. Both Mr. McKenzie and Mr. Hosking continue to operate the company subject to the direction of the PWI Board of Directors.

PWI signed a Memorandum of Understanding on November 6, 2003 for the Toliary-Ilakaka Road Infrastructure Upgrading Project with the VICE PRIMATURE, a division of the Minister of Public Works for the Government of Madagascar. PWI has agreed to work in collaboration with the VICE PRIMATURE to upgrade the existing road link between Toliary and Ilakaka.

The Toliary-Ilakaka road link will be upgraded by PWI to support its exploration efforts in the Ilakaka Region. The project will consist of widening and paving the existing road, rectification of poor alignment, and the construction of bypasses and additional bridges. This is Phase II of a two Phase Project.

Phase II will be completed over a 3 to 10 year program. The benefit to MineCore International, Inc. is that the Upgrading Project will generate revenue through its construction division, McKenzie Plant Hire (MPH). It is estimated that the overall value of the Upgrade project could be between $40 million and $300 million dollars. MCIO will benefit through a recovery of management fees, margins built into the MPH construction contracts and MCIO margins.
